Teaching Week: 09.06.2018 - 16.06.2018

Ashley started taking yoga classes in 2010 at the Sattva School of Yoga in Edmonton, Canada. After experiencing several losses, a friend recommended she try yoga. She was keen to try anything and gave yoga a go, albeit sceptical as she has a background in science, and had never heard of mindfulness before. Having never been a fan of physical activity, she enjoyed the challenge that yoga offered. She began noticing the profound effects yoga was having off of the mat. She felt much more focused, and daily stresses & anxieties started to become insignificant. She continued to build and strengthen her practice for a few years, and now has completed two yoga certification courses, one in Ashtanga/Vinyasa Flow and the other in Sattva Yoga.

Ashley's goal is to spread the love & happiness achieved through the ancient practice of yoga to everyone that wants to live a joyful, stress free life. Helping people find true happiness, peace, and security is her teaching mission, because as she's learned through continuous devotion and surrender to yoga, these qualities only come from within.

Ashley's classes are strong, yet nurturing. She places a great deal of emphasis on connecting deep within your own body, using the breath as a tool to distract the mind, and fascial tissue lines of awareness to understand postures on a very personal level.
