Teaching Week: 23.06.2018 - 30.06.2018
Matt first stepped on the mat nearly 7 years ago as a means to complement other physical activity like running, cycling and swimming. But soon after, the practice evolved into a regular staple in his life.
Based in London, Matt practices and teaches various styles of yoga including Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Yin and Restorative and is passionate about yoga's ability to deepen the connection between mind and body, both on and off the mat.
Matt’s classes are mindfully sequenced, focusing on good alignment and are infused with a sense of playfulness. He encourages students from all yoga backgrounds and abilities to take part in using the practice to unlock potential, both physically and emotionally.
The morning classes will be dynamic and playful, drawing inspiration from Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga and Mandala Vinyasa, offering you the perfect space to move your body with fluidity and prepare your mind for deep relaxation.
The afternoon sessions will be about slowing down, letting go and reflection, normally from the schools of Yin or Restorative yoga. Wind down after the day, get cosy with your bolster and float away to the sound of the waves.
As a trained Thai Yoga massage therapist, I’ll also be offering treatment sessions throughout the week. This type of massage is performed on a mat and works to stimulate the flow of energy through the body using guided stretches and acupressure points. The result is deep relaxation, a release of tension and is a perfect complement to the physical practice of yoga.
